Spring Break in Mallorca: Beach-break lunch in the area

April 08 2025

Holidays are about relaxing. So while you have excellent facilities to cook your own meals here at Ca's Saboners, sometimes it's great to take a break and go out for lunch. Here in Palma Nova and our surrounding area, there are plenty of places to eat, but we recommend somewhere right on the beach for the best views and atmosphere. Here are some of our favourite places to have lunch right next to the Mediterranean Sea.

The Olive Tree: beach-front Mediterranean dining

Overlooking Palma Nova beach, this family-run restaurant has an extensive menu and an outdoor terrace overlooking the beach and water. Choose from a wide range of dishes, from crispy calamari and garlic prawns to fish and steak. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available alongside a kids’ menu. Daily from 12 pm to 4 pm, there is a Spanish-inspired ‘bottomless brunch’ ideal for groups to enjoy 7 different tapas, including vegan options, and endless sangria.

Il Chiringo Beach: sea views and plenty of food

Want to eat with views of the Mediterranean and sand beneath your feet? This prime beachside spot could be for you. A relaxed restaurant with attentive staff, Il Chiringo, which means “The Beach Bar” in Spanish, has a diverse menu ranging from snacks “para picar”, like Spanish favourites Padron peppers and croquettes to seafood starters such as calamari, salmon tartare and refreshing Caprese salads. Main dishes cover fish and meat to poke bowls, with a kids’ menu on offer too. There is also a separate establishment, called Il Chringo Pizzeria, dedicated to, you guessed it, pizzas.

Kalima Beach and Lounge: Balinese-style interiors, innovative cuisine

Nearby on Magaluf beach, this stylish open-air restaurant serves artfully arranged dishes, from fresh poké bowls to succulent ribs and fresh fish. On the huge terraced restaurant, unwind with thoughtful food, great cocktails and friendly staff in tasteful tropical surroundings. There’s also a garden and covered lounge area that is extra chill with a soundtrack of excellent tunes. An oasis on Magaluf Beach.

Tom Brown’s: British-style favourites with a view

If you’re looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful, Tom Brown’s is a friendly institution on Magaluf beach that has been open since 1982. Specialising in Brutish fare, although there are other international options on the menu, this is a good place to have a big all-day breakfast or a sandwich, wrap, baked potato, burger, pizza, grill and the list goes on.

We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Ca's Saboners in Mallorca when you'll have the chance to try these lunchtime spots on our beautiful beaches. We can't wait to have you—and we're sure you can't wait to be here either.
