Golf in Mallorca – all you need to know

February 20 2023

Many locations around the globe have cemented their status as superior golfing destinations. Mallorca is one such place. With around 20 golf courses to choose from in every corner of the island, you’re guaranteed to find your dream green. To make life as easy as possible for you and to help you max out your time on the island – because that’s what we do at Cas Saboners – we’ve created this sort and sweet golf guide for you, including a selection of some our favourite golf courses and tips on when to plan your golfing holiday. So, let’s get started.

The perfect time of year to hit that Birdie

While most of the golf courses on the island are open year-round, there are certain times of year you want to aim for when booking your dream golf getaway. These include the spring and early/late summer months, more specifically April, May and June, as well as September. Why? Firstly, the weather during these months remains within the golfing sweet spot, allowing you to enjoy the abundant sunshine without overly sweating. Since these months are very popular with golfers from around the world, we highly recommend booking your slot at the golf course to avoid disappointment.

Which golf course suits you best?

Finding your perfect golf course is easy on Mallorca. If you’re looking for a prestigious course with stunning views and technical holes, then Son Vida is the place to go. This course if definitely one for the more advanced players who are seeking the next big challenge – how does a final par 5 hole over water sound? Pretty exciting, right? Another golf course worth mentioning is Club de Golf Alcanda, which lies on the stunning north coast of the island and boasts some of the most interesting design, views and facilities we’ve come across. This course requires a keen mind for strategy, so be prepared to max out your skills. Of course, there are many more incredible courses on the island. Near Cas Saboners, you’ll find Golf Son Gual, a stunning 18-hole course and Son Muntaner, which is great for beginners and experts alike. All we can say is, happy golfing!
