Christmas Markets on Mallorca

December 15 2022

Are you feeling merry already? Christmas markets are places of magic, wonder and delight, where festive dreams come true and people come together to celebrate this special time of year. There’s truly no better place to ring in the holidays than at one of the many markets that pop up around the island during the month of December. There, you’ll find stores selling handmade goods, local delicacies and delicious mulled wine, as well as workshops for children and shows and performances for all to enjoy! Discover the best Christmas Markets on Mallorca.

Pueblo Español Market

The Pueblo Español Christmas market is famous for its spectacular setting amidst the beautiful streets and stone courtyards of this iconic model village that celebrates Spanish heritage and architecture. Here, you’ll find over 80 stalls that sell artisan gifts, food and drinks. Live music adds to the atmosphere. The market is also great for kids, who can meet Father Christmas and share their wish list with him. Thanks to its central location close to Palma’s seafront, it’s easily accessible from town. There is a small admission fee, but for that you’ll get a glass of mulled wine or a hot chocolate.

Puerto Portals

Puerto Portals harbour is one of our favourite places on the island. And it’s home to one of the most famous Christmas markets in Mallorca. Given the large German community around Puerto Portals, you’ll find that many stalls sell traditional German Christmas market staples. In terms of entertainment, Christmas carols are sung by a local choir, while there are workshops for children and our highlight, the Three Wise Men’s parade.

Plaça Major

Another well-known Christmas market in Palma is the one in Plaça Major, the town’s central square. It’s the perfect place to stop off for a cup of mulled wine during your Christmas shopping spree. Look no further if you’re in need of Christmas decorations for your tree or nativity scene, since the stalls here sell a wide assortment of Christmas items.

Is the island calling to you? At Ca’s Saboners Beach Apartments, we do holidays best. While we’re currently closed for our winter break, we’re there for you again in 2023. So why not book now!
