Cas Saboners: Best beaches to visit in Mallorca in 2026

December 16 2025

2026 is just around the corner, which means it’s time to stop dreaming and start booking your holiday at Cas Saboners! Picture this: white sand beneath your feet, a cold drink in your hand, the sparkling sea and the warm sun on your face.
The Mediterranean island of Mallorca is waiting, just as we are at Cas Saboners, your home from home here in Palmanova. To start planning your next escape, here are our top picks of the island’s most beautiful beaches close to us in the southwest and around the island.

Southwest #1: Playa de Palmanova

Only a few minutes’ walk from Cas Saboners, this one-kilometre sandy beach is lovely and convenient. The calm, shallow water is perfect for kids and the long promenade has everything you could wish for—from ice cream parlours to cafés to restaurants to bars. Palmanova actually boasts three different beaches, including Es Carregador and Son Matías, if you fancy a change.

Southwest #2: Playa de Santa Ponsa

Enclosed in a bay, this 1.3-kilometre sandy beach has all the amenities and restaurants nearby, making it great for families. If you prefer a smaller, more secluded cove, head to Caló d'en Pellicer, which has a more local, intimate feel.

Southwest #3: Cala Portals Nous

Also known as Platja de s'Oratori, this white sandy beach, which spans 250 metres, boasts water the color of the brightest turquoise. Located in the swish area of Portals, this desirable stretch of sand has sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, and a beach bar.

Southeast #1: Cala Pi

This pretty sandy cove is just under an hour’s drive, but the journey is well worth it. The 140-metre beach is tucked away, surrounded by pine trees. It’s a bit of a climb down, but your reward is waiting, plus there are sunbeds, parasols, and a lifeguard during summer.

Southeast #2: Es Trenc

If you want a wilder Caribbean-esque experience, Es Trenc, in the southern part of the island between Ses Covetes and Colònia Sant Jordi, is for you. The fine white sand stretches around 10 kilometres, lapped by the clearest water you can imagine and there are some beach bars too.

Southeast #3: Cala Mondragó

In the southeast, this is also one of the best beaches on the island. A strip of white sand, just 75 metres long, is framed by pine forests, where you can hike, and clear turquoise waters. As with all the best beaches, it can be busy during high season so arrive early.

East #1: Cala Agulla

On the northeast coast, not far from the Capdepera and Cala Ratjada, this popular 500-metre beach is situated within the Llevant Peninsula Natura Park. Its sand is white, its waters clear and there is a paid car park, plus all the amenities like sunbeds, water sports and lifeguards.

North #1: Playa de Muro

In the island’s north, this 6-kilometre sandy beach stretches between Alcúdia and Can Picafort making it one of Mallorca’s longest. The sea is shallow and calm, making it ideal for families and there are many paella restaurants that are perfect for lunch.
