Best sunset spots on Mallorca

August 14 2023

Mallorca is a summer paradise, where sea, sun and sand are engaged in the most spectacular choreography that makes all your island dreams come true. And one thing this island is best known for is the spectacular sunsets that you can enjoy from every corner. At Aparthotel Cas Saboners, we want you to enjoy every second of your stay with us. Which is why we’ve listed our favourite sunset watching spots for you! So, grab a pen and paper and let us give you some inspiration for your Mallorca bucket list.

Cap de Formentor

Every island sunset guide has to start with a visit to Cap Formentor. This breathtaking spot on the northern tip of Mallorca has dramatic cliffs that tower above turquoise waters, winding roads, hidden coves and a lighthouse that sits majestically on the edge. On a clear day, you can even spot the island of Menorca from here.

Sa Foradada

Sa Foradada is the place for those relaxed sunset moments. You’ll find a viewpoint and a bar at Sa Foradada and if you walk down a bit, you’ll be able to enjoy a fab’ restaurant boasting an Mediterranean inspired menu with delicious island staples and views that take in the vast expanse of blue beyond. We highly recommend booking your table in advance at the restaurant, especially if you’re planning a sunset visit.

Port de Sóller

The romantic harbour of Port de Sóller is another one of our sunset faves. There’s just something so magical about boats bobbing gently in the harbour, while the oranges and reds of the evening sun reflect off the sea. Add to that the backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains and you’re in island paradise.

Cala Figuera

A charming fishing village, picturesque cliffs and a small harbour. That’s the wonder of Cala Figuera. This small village had to be on our list of sunset spots as its combines all these wonderful elements of island life. The waters here are also some of the clearest you’ll encounter during your holiday, which makes it the perfect place to swim and watch the setting sun.

Palma’s Cathedral

For a city sunset view, visit the famous La Seu Cathedral in the heart of the Balearic capital. It’s the mix of stunning waterfront location and impressive gothic architecture that makes this destination one of the best spots on the island to soak up those evening rays.
